Proctor & Gamble Company released a press release Sunday that two lots of Iams Feline Renal Formula has been recalled due to a possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported although a random test was verified as positive.
As of Sunday evening this listing has not been posted on the US Food and Drug Administration website, although stayed tuned here for the latest updates.

Symptoms of Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever and vomiting. A decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain, may also be exhibited.If your dog is exhibiting these signs please take it to a veterinarian immediately.
Salmonella can also be transferred to humans so caution should be taken in handling pet food by washing your hands after handling food products. Call your physician if you have experienced nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping or fever and have recently purchased these products.
